Endemicity of Urogenital Schistosomiasis and Its Associated Risk Factors among Children in Danbatta, Northwestern Nigeria

Urogenital schistosomiasis, also known as bilharzias is a digenean parasitic infection, classified among the neglected tropical diseases, which has remained endemic in Nigeria, despite efforts mass drugs administration (MDA) across country. This study reported endemicity of urogenital schistosomiasis and its associated risks factors children Danbatta, Northwestern Nigeria. A cross-sectional was conducted Kano State, total 400 urine samples were collected from 4 conventional Primary Schools (198) Tsangaya (almajiris) schools (202).
